Antofagasta de la Sierra and Tolar Grande
Antofagasta and Tolar Grande (1290 km / 800 miles) / Ref-7-01
Details of the circuit
Day 1: Departure from Salta in the direction of the Valleys Calchaquies by the Quebrada de Escoipe, Cuesta del Obispo, Piedra del Molino who peaks at an altitude of 3457 m. We come down slightly on Cachipampa, road 42 in the direction of Seclantas, we pass by Los Colorados, Seclantas, Laguna de Brealito, road 40, San José de Cachi, La Paya and Cachi at an altitude of 2280 m where we shall spend the night.
Day 2: Departure from Cachi by the road 40, Payogasta, visit at Los Graneros , La Poma, Abra del Acay at an altitude of 4895 m then San Antonio de los Cobres where we will have lunch. Departure to Tolar Grande by the road 51 until, RP 129, Santa Rosa de los Pastos Grandes, Pocitos and let us cross the saltworks of the same name Salar de Pocitos on a distance of 9 km, los Colorados, Desierto del Diablo, Siete Curvas and Tolar Grande where we will spend the night.
Day 3: After the breakfast we go on the site where are the eyes of the sea or "Ojos de Mar", then el Arenal with ascent of the dune where from we shall have one very beautiful view on the Salar de Arizaro, and to finish the morning we will go to the Tunnel del Hombre Muerto. After the lunch we will leave to the Santa María lagoon and its pink Flamingos.
Day 4: Departure from Tolar Grande by the Salar de Arizaro, Cono de Arita, Salar de Antofalla, Antofalla, Vega del Río Calalaste and Antofagasta de la sierra, Walk at the foot of the volcano Antofagasta and at the edge of the lagoon.
Day 5: Departure from Antofagasta de la Sierra, Campo de Piedra Pómez, el Peñon, Laguna Grande, Villa Vil.
Day 6: Departure from Villa Vil, RN40, Santa María, archeological site of Quilmes, Tolombón, Cafayate where we will spend the night.
Day 7: Walk in Divisadero and rock paintings, visit of a Bodega. Lunch in Cafayate then departure by the road 68, Quebrada de las Conchas where we can admire all the curiosities geological as los Castillos, el Obelisco, el Anfiteatro y la Garganta del Diablo, return to Salta.
Attention: The passage of the pass Abra del Acay or Laguna Santa María can be impracticable in winter and sometimes the pass Abra del Acay in summer, being able to bring us to a modification of the program, thank you for your understanding.

inhabitant. For a superior category, make the demand.
